In 1959, the Royal Canadian Air Force celebrated its 35th anniversary along with 50 years of powered aviation in Canada. To mark that special occasion, a team known as the 'Golden Hawks' were created and were first equipped with 6 Canadair Sabre Mk.5 aircraft and later with the Mk.6 version. Patch made in memory of Capt. Shawn McCaughey (Snowbirds 2), 31, of Candiac, Quebec which plane crashed, 18 May 2007 during an air show practice at Malmstrom Air Force Base. 38th Season 2008. 39th Season 2009. 40th Season 2010. 41st Season 2011. 42nd Season 2012. 43rd Season 2013. 44th Season 2014. 45st Season 2015. 46th Season 2016.
